Lost in Translation

Exodus 11:2 KJV

[2] Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

I just thought it was interesting that the word translated as "borrow" here means "to ask for" but does not, by definition, signify any intention of return like the English word implies.
